Our favourite things this week

S1 have been writing about their favourite things in school this week and added it to the blog in ICT.

Johanna - This week I have enjoyed planting veg with Mrs Shillito.

Maddison -This week I have enjoyed the magician on Friday.

Sam - This week I have enjoyed Thomas' birthday cake.

Thomas - This week I liked having my birthday cake at school.

Jennifer - I liked watching the magician.

William - I liked watering the plants.

Annabelle - I liked going to the butchers to buy some meat.

Cameron - liked the magician and planting veg!

Thanks to Tony at Penshaw Nursery!

S1 would like to say a big THANK YOU to Tony at Penshaw Nursery for the kind gifts that he has given us to help us with our work for our challen
ge curriculum topic farm to fork.
He has given us help and advice when buying supplies to help us to grow our own fruit and vegetables and also has given us two chilli plants and a beautiful strawberry plant to help us to meet our challenge.

The Butchers

Today we visited Penshaw Nursery. We went to the Butcher's Shop for our Challenge - Farm to Fork.
We learned about meat comes from. We met the butcher called Stewart and he told us about meat.
Johanna 'I am looking forward to tasting sausages!'
Annabelle 'I am looking forwad to tasting lamb kebabs tomorrow!'
Sam 'I want to taste spicy chicken wings.'

Superstar Vegetables

On Friday, S1 planted some vegetables in the ground in the garden. They are in the S1 vegetable patch and greenhouse.
We have planted tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, onions, cauliflowers and peppers.
